Bandon Oregon: Besides the golf resort, where's the BEST place to stay?
Plans might be changing and may not be able to stay at the Bandon Dunes Golf Resort.
So I wonder what's the next best place to stay. With the kind of cash I was planning to spend at Bandon Dunes, I can spend at this new place, so I would say cost is NOT a factor.
I know there's not a lot of choice but I notice a B&B called the LightHouse B&B.
How's that one?
Much thanks.

I dont know much about Bandon but just South at Pt Orford is the Wildspring Resort - the individual cabins are not on the ocean but there is a hot tub with fabulous ocean views. It located on a hill overlooking the ocean- and not far Bandon

Does this mean you won't be playing Bandon Dunes, tandg?
I forget your itinerary, but if Gold Beach isn't too far out of the way, I'm sure you'd enjoy a stay at TuTuTun. If you can get in, that is. http://www.tututun.com/ In Bandon, besides the resort, the only places I've stayed have been Motel 6-like. That was back in the day when you didn't have to stay at the resort to get a decent tee time.

BB, I will be, but now I may have to go on stand by or call within the 21 day period prior to my stay to try and get a tee time.
Basically, my booking is for T, W, Th, nights and that is just not working out the best with the rest of the trip. So if I can find something for earlier, it would be ideal. Trouble is the accomodations in Bandon are pretty slim. I thought of Tututun, but that's a two hour RT drive from Bandon, so it's probably too far.
Hopefully it wil still work out!

travelinandgolfin: I have stayed at the Sunset Motel in the Vern Brown addition. There were stairs down to the beach and we had a FABULOUS view. I know it is not the Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, but it is nice.
