Bad Skyauction experience today
Well I bid on a trip to Orlando listing Lga as departure with an option of leaving from Chicago for an additonal fee. After I won the auction I was not allowed to choose departure from anywhere other tehn Chicago. As it all happened today and no one is there because it is Christmas eve we are stuck as this was a trip to leave this saturday.
Now we are not going to get to Florida and my heart is broken as we were planning to go to Epcot to see the Christmas around the world. I will never again try Skyauction > My question is how is it that they can hold me to a bid but they can offer auctions that they cannot possibly fulfill ? Great business plan

Just got email from skyauction it seems the trip never actually exsisted. We could however purchase 2 very expensive tickets to chicago and then use the trip to Orlando. Aren't there laws about running a business like this, isn't this fraudulent ?

I understand WDW might have the decorations up until mid or late January, so you might be able to reschedule your trip. Sorry you missed out. However, the time between Christmas and New Years is supposed to be extremely busy, so you won't mind missing the crowds!
Call WDW and find out when they take down the decorations, you might be pleasantly surprised.
We were just at WDW a week ago and I found the decorations at their various hotels to be fabulous. We were at EPCOT at night, so couldn't see much in the dark.
Also, check the Travel Channel on cable, they are running an hour long episode on WDW Christmas. It showed us lots of stuff we missed.
Happy Holidays!

If you feel you have been a victim of a fraud, send a letter detailing the situtation (with facts, don't be emotional) to the state Attorney General and also to your state's consumer protection office. Include all relevant documentation (emails, etc.). If *any* part of this experience was conducted with snail mail, file a report with the Postal Service. Also, since your credit card was involved, contact the fraud division of the bank that issued your credit card.
Let Skyauction know you were not satisfied with their operation and that you are filing complaints with the authorities.
The important thing to do is follow up on this if you truly feel you were the victim of a fraud. Don't let it go. You will be saving other consumers from similar disappointments.
Good luck!
P.S. I agree with the Heartburn3, better to see Epcot after the crowds are gone! The decorations will be up for a while. And, if I can add a personal recommendation, give Busch Gardens near Tampa a try. My mother and I went in early December and had a blast and there were NO lines anywhere! We walked directly onto every ride; we waited literally less than a minute for any of them. We also enjoyed feeding the lorikeets and the educational show about wild birds.

Thanks all, I have already printed all paperwork and written letter to States AG. However according to the WDW website Christmas around the world at Epcot ends on 12/30/2003. Which seems odd but that is what it says. We have been there before and really wnated to go and see the Christmas around the world.
We have been at Eurodisney one year and it was magical all decorated for Christmas. As far as the Travelchannel goes it was there darn special that got me allrevved up and willing to pay anything to see Epcot at christmas. Now the only time we can get hotel and air is after the 30th and no point in going then as Epcot will be back to normal. Which I have already seen.
As far as Skyauctions attitude well to say they couldn't care less would be an understatement at best. The oh well we try to fulfill our auctions but we can only do so much ...Excuse me don;t put auctions up for bid that you know you can't fulfill. I have booked trips around the world online and this is the first bad experience we have ever had.

NO KKJ the auction had the option to leave from chihcago the original offer was from LGA. We live in ct and Chicago is not an option for us.I may be blonde but I am smart enough to know we need to fly out of ny....skyauction changed the terms after the auction closed. We didn't plan earlier as it was a last minute surprise from my husband as I had been whinning about wanting to see Epcot dressed for Christmas with all the santas. He saved the day he is going to drive me there this weekend. I will get my christmas wish any
