I am throwing a bachelorette party for six girls (in our early 30s) in Vegas over Memorial Day weekend. We arrive on a Friday night and leave late Sunday afternoon. Anyone out there have any ideas on how to make the trip extra fun for this type of group. We'll be on a pretty tight budget but I'd like to find a hotel on the strip that has two adjoining rooms. Spacious bathrooms would be nice along with a living room area where we could all hang out together. Any ideas on shows that would be fun for this group? Thanks, appreciate any and all advice!

What type of show are you interested in..guys in g-strings? magic? song and dance?
Does your like to dance or just hang out at a table with cocktails, chatting away? (My friends are a mixed bag)

How important is having a nice pool to you?

Would love to have two adjoing rooms for about $300 per night for both. I think the group would like Siegfriend and Roy or a Cirque de Solei show -- but I'm betting you have to buy these tickets in advance?? (Ideally, I'd like to find a show where girls could buy the tickets when we arrive, so each person could make the decision on whether they wanted to go or not since tickets aren't cheap.) A pool or spa isn't important since we'll probably spend our short time there just seeing the hotels and gambling. Thanks for any advice you can offer!

I don't know of any with adjoining rooms but I am sure there are. They shows you mentioned are usually sold out way in advance but you could try for any cancellations for the day you want to go.

many of the hotels do have adjoining rooms. Try the Monte Carlo for adjoining rooms at reasonable prices. The casino area is nice as well with a fun brew pub and the pool is fun. The rooms are basic but the price is good. For larger rooms with huge bathrooms and a living area try the Ventian but I don't know if you'll get the prices you're looking for over Memorial Day.
Fun shows that are cheaper and that you may be able to get tickets for that weekend are Penn and Teller and Second City.

The Amazing Jonathon is also a good show to consider.

PLEASE, do NOT go to see Sigfried and Roy, not for your crowd at all. The Cirque shows are excellent and worth the money, but as you say, not cheap. Blue Man group (Luxor) is another alternative. Any of the "higher tier" shows will require tix to be bought in advance.

Lodging could be a tough call due to the holiday weekend, but i'd try the usual suspects... Flamingo, Bally's, Harrahs.

We had our wedding and entire weekend hdqtrs at the MC. I really like it because it's more "demure" than some of the other places..no roller coaster, no clowns, no fountains. Yes it's on the strip, next door to the Bellagio. You might want to check the rates on their suites, although you probably won't find any great deals. People have written both good and bad about their pool, but you said it's not a deal breaker so just don't forget your suits in case you want to sun.
Honestly, if I were you I'd skip the shows. It doesn't sound like you know if everyone wants to see one anyway. Just hit a few of the clubs and have fun.

Try the Flamingo too. It's not 4*, but you won't be paying 4* rates either.

for a fun and cheap show, try any of the drag queen shows - those are so much fun and your hotel - whichever you choose - should have discount and 2-1 coupons!
or the feast at Excalibur, for really hot jousters plus a souvenier photo. dinner and two drinks were included and I remember paying $30 each for it.

Look on the Luxor website. This is an Egyptian theme resort on the strip but nice to look at (not to eat at). Three of us stayed a one BR suite and asked for two cots which are twin beds on wheels. The bathroom was very spacious and when the cots were out of the way, we were able to hang out in the living room that had a couch, table, chairs and a bar. I'm sure you can get two adjoining or one regular room adjoining the suite to reduce expenses. Ask for special rates when you check in. You can reach Mandalay Bay and Excaliber by walkways and others by tram. Be sure to go to RumJungle, a hip bar/club and do some of your gambling at Bellagio or Venetian for an upscale experience.

I'll be happy to be your personalized tourguide (just let me go talk to my wife). You may experience some inflated prices due to the holiday weekend so book ASAP. The Amazing Jonathan is great & used to be only $25 when he was off the strip. I understand Harvey Korman & Tim Conway (from Carol Burnett) also have a good show now & Lance Burton is probably the best for straight magic. Monte Carlo is nice & has a good location as well. They also have a spa & decent pool. Give us more specifics & we'll try to help more.

Does anyone know if it's possible for more than 4 people to stay in any of the hotels on the Strip? It seems there will be 5 girls now instead of 6 for the bachelorette party.
