B&B in Caramel, CA or thereabout?

Ok, Fodorites, I am calling on you once again to help out with a B&B that my husband and I would like to spend a day or two at.

We will be in California in the Caramel, Los Altos, and further North Sonoma area for about 2 days around Christmas. Any suggestions about a good B&B to stay at? Romance, good staff, good breakfast, scenery and ammenities are huge with us. Price, well, I think around the $150 -$180 per night is as high as we can go. Any suggestions are as always, greatly appreicated.

Where's Caramel? Is it near Apple Valley?

Ha Ha Ha tess very witty.

icpc I assume you mean Carmel? If so, check out some of the B&Bs in Pacific Grove, very close. It is just at the edge of Monterey. I think one is called Seven Gables or such, but there are many there.

Vagabond's House is a very old, very charming B&B in Carmel right at the edge of where all of the galleries, shops, and restaurants are---walk to everything. Very quiet, with rooms arranged around a center courtyard. One of the top-rated B&Bs for many years. Only 2 blocks away is a romantic restaurant with superb food, Casanova

Ok Everyone- I know, just a typo...get past it please and thanks for the info. By the way, there really is an Apple Valley in Wisconsin believe it or not.

Any Sonoma ideas out there?

Wanna meet on Hershey Highway???? It's off Kisses Blvd and crosses Crunch Lane...see, I too can joke about the misprint.

Thanks for pointing out the laugh.

Hard to "get past" when you live there, though. By the way, there is an Apple Valley in CA, too.

Lots of B&Bs and inns here, too many to mention. Why not do some research and come back and ask us to help you fine tune?

We just returned from four days in Carmel last week. You may want to check out the www.innsbythesea.com website.

We have enjoyed stays at the Highland's Inn, Tickle Pink and La Playa but are a bit out of your price range. We enjoyed meals at Carmel Mission Ranch (you may want to check out this property, it's gorgeous), Little Napoli, Casanova and Pacific's Edge in the Carmel area. Have fun! ***kim***
