I2--What outlets have I been missing in Buckhea? I can't think of any but Filene's and one or two consignment shops. My favorite outlet is north of the city in Dawsonville but that's a trek up GA400...

Well, maybe they aren't outlets per se, but there is that giant shoe place and TJ Maxx and those sorts of places...

Well, I know it's a huge shoe warehouse thingie, you can see from the Ritz Carlton...maybe the other store I have in mind is Marshall's...
grief,,,I don't know!

Belle, just go to Lenox and Phipps...it doesn't cost to look! And when some of the places have sales...wala,,,they are great!

I2--Oh, DSW!! Great shoe store and great prices...you're right, it's down the street from the Ritz--at the corner of Lenox and Piedmont.

I believe the mapmakers call the "corner of Lenox and Piedmont" 1 Buckhead Loop (and DSW Suite 205). Before the Loop, Lenox Road came to a recognizable dead end at Peachtree Road, Phipps Plaza. Enjoy your gathering.

topping
(mainly 'cause I'm looking for the corn casserole recipe again!)

For fabulous outlets, go to Dawsonville. I stopped in Commerce this week and there are a few high end stores, but nothing like the outlet stores in Dawsonville.

Good. I have it memorized now. Just checking.

I like kslw's idea. Maybe the next GTG can be a potluck. Of course, everyone will probably want to bring bamakelly's corn casserole!

Speaking of bamakelly, I don't see a reply from her as yet.

Bamakelly, please come to the GTG so I can thank you in person for helping my friend who moved to Huntsville!

Hey People!
Maggiano's has us down in the reservation book and asks that we pre-order from the family style lunch menu. I2 and I can pick for everyone but if there are certain dishes you'd like to vote for, let us know now! In addion, if you have dietary needs/restrictions, let us know that too.

I2 and I made the executive decision to have appetizers w/lunch. It gives us more options for those who are picky, more yummy food for those of us who are not and it's only $3/pp more

Plan to come hungry!!!!!

Just back from a long and wonderful weekend of weddings and parties! Was getting ready to check this and top and it's at the top already.

Some of my favs at Maggiano's are...EVERYTHING, I have ever had! So, if you see something that really appeals to you, please let OWJ know!

Starrsville, great idea to have a potluck next time.

Certainly am looking forward to meeting everyone.

The Budbrew has NOT arrived and I haven't seen him post nor have I had any emails in a few weeks. What gives Budman, you ok?

Starrs--
I nominate you to organize the next GTG and love the idea of potluck

Ira will be eating brie and crepes and drinking fabulous French wines while we all stuff our faces on Maggiano's--I personally think he should have planned his life around us but he didn't listen

What would have been even better would have been if WE could have relocated the GTG to Paris for him! Well, a girl can dream...

OHMIGOSH I feel sooooo loved! Thanks Belle and Starrsville for including me on the invite (and missing me while I have been gone!). Y'all are too sweet.

I just saw this post--sorry I have been late in responding. I have not been on Fodors in weeks. We are in the process of moving into our new home, I have been out of town (in Gatlinburg), and I have been busy with a million other projects too. I miss you guys!

I so wish I could come on the 17th. I run an ovarian cancer support and advocacy group here and we will be busy having our annual fundraiser. Looks like I will have to take a rain check this time. I am so sad! I'd love to meet you all in person (and I'd even bring some corn casserole!)

Do have fun, post pictures, and drink a biiig one for me! (I am pregnant so you'll have to make it extra big...I am so craving a beer or a margarita!)

Thanks again for thinking of me. Have fun.

I posted it on a FFR&R, but it was quite some time ago (I am 22 weeks and starting telling people at 6!). This is our 2nd child and we will have a girl this time around. We're thrilled (and very very scared!).

So sorry I'll be missing the gang. Y'all try not to have too much fun without me.

Learned today of a conflict on the 17th. Tried diligently to get out of it but it's not gonna happen. Sorry but cannot make it this time. Have fun for me and discuss where and when the next one will take place!

MelissaHI...and you know I would gladly SHARE those chicken paws with you!

Gonna tell you like I told FainaAgain...Atlanta has a great big place called an airport. They have direct flights daily from Honolulu and those big jets have no problems landing there.

Tell ya what...this is going to be a fun GTG...Is anyone attending that will object to having their photos posted on worldisround? If so, say so, and step out of the photo line up please!

Belle, I looked at your Maui pics today..Awesome! You gonna post some Oahu ones as well?

Topping for the weekend...TGIF..well almost!
