Yum, corn casserole! Love that recipe. I'll have to make that when we get back from Savannah.

BTW, we had dinner tonight at KC Barbecue in Sandy Springs for the first time. The lamb ribs were out of this world! YUM! Nice little jazz band, too.

OldSouthernBelle....in case you haven't read your email, go to biddingfortravel.com and read before placing another priceline bid.

You should have no problem getting a 4* in Buckhead for the $65. Just might as well bid that when your lockout expires..that's what I have hit on everytime.

Yes, I got the e-mail message and did so last night. I had read before, but I still don't quite get it.

A Zone is an area? I took awhile studying the Buckhead area and the 4 star hotels there...are you saying I've got to study ALL of ATL area? UGh....I was hoping that would not be the case.

They would allow me to bid again if I changed a parameter but, that would be less than satisfactory in my mind...I guess I just don'g fully understand.

Also, is the $25 charge per night or per transaction?

Any way, you'll be glad to hear my DIL, who was visiting this weekend, DID show me how to upload pics on worldisround.com, so I'll be able to do that in the next few days!

Did you get the pics I sent you of the jewelry?

Belle, you can change a parameter....You have already bid on 4*Buckhead for say $60...nobody bit....now you can bid an area in Atlanta that does not have a 4* and bid higher.

You can only get Buckhead 4* since you are bidding an area that does not have a 4*...You have to know what areas the 4 stars are in...you do that thru priceline...not biddingfortravel. You change the parameters of the location, not stars....

I will send you a separate email in a few hours on what to check and how to bid. It's confusing til you get the hang.

Don't despair..we will get you a fine Buckhead property.....but if you get the InterContinental...we will have to switch..it's a fine place!!

Got the pics of the jewelry..thank you!

Iceeu2: Thanks for all the tips! I got the JwMarriott last night for $69/night for the same nights as you!

OneWanderingJew: So I guess that makes my committment alittle more firm! It shoudn't be my weekend to work, and if so, believe someone will switch with me. May be bringing a DIL...not sure.

OWJ: Actually, it may be three! Her sis, who accompanied her for the visit this past weekend is planning on coming too! Am double checking to see if they are actually coming to the GTG or just to ATL.

Now, to plan the shopping excursion! Any recommendations there?

Belle

Honey child, all you got to do is roll yourself out of bed and ...wala...you are in Lenox! Phipps is nearby. You can walk there or the JWM has a shuttle and they will take you there.

I really have no idea of what Lenox has ( other than china) and am also unfamiliar with Phipps....did I mention that I don't get out much?!((&))

How do they compare to Walmart? (Just kidding).

The JWMarriott is attached to Lenox Mall and Phipps Plaza is about a block away on Peachtree and within a mile a bunch of independent boutiques. Andrews Ave. has several...This is the shopping mecca of Atlanta

Sounds great! Any favorite stores in either location? I need petite sizing.

I don't suppose there any 'outlet' stores in that exclusive area?...call me cheap...I always look for 'the deal'!.
