Hi gang,
Sorry I didn't get back to the computer yesterday. I was scheduled to help out ar our town's shelter for Katrina evacuees, so I spent a busy day there.
I'm in Demoplis, just about as far west as you can get in Alabama, about 35 miles from the Mississippi border.
I can't make this GTG, but keep me in mind for future ones..I'd love to see everybody!
Thanks again,
Byrd

Hey Folks,
Just a reminder that our soiree' takes place a week from Sat.. Icceu2 and I are really looking forward to a good time and meeting anyone.
I need to get a final headcount to Maggiano's in the next couple of days and let them know what we will be pigging out on come the 17th. If you wouldn't mind, please shoot me a quick email verifying that you will attend--or can't...
Also, we plan to take pictures and later post them on the web. If you have any objections to that, please let iceeu2 and I know so that we don't blow your cover

So Smokyboy, does this mean we will be seeing you there? Hope so.
And another question for all...I have 2 bottles of Budbrew that was sent for our GTG. Maggiano's charges $15/bottle corkage. Do we want to throw in a few bucks each for that...or.....would a few like to join with your plastic wine glasses at the JW Marriott before or after the event....or.....shall I just be a real "whineoh" and drink it on down???
Email me at dfreezeatdaltondotnet or let OWJ know and she can pass the info on.
Can't wait to meet everyone. Better brush up on your fodor's trivia before coming if you want to win a prize!!

"Budbrew" is from Budman. Someone correct me if I am wrong (I know you will, LOL) but I believe he grows grapes or buys grapes from the Lodi area in the Central Valley here in CA and makes, or has made, his own wine. And then generously shares it with Fodor's GTG's.
