Aston Kannapali Shore
Will be staying at the Aston Kannapali shore in July - any comments on this property. Will have a car - but anyone know of any decent nightlife within walking distance of this hotel?

I stayed at AK in 1996 (some time ago) but would highly recommend it. As I recall it is somewhat secluded from the nightlife and you will need to drive to get anywhere. There are some hotels nearby that might have night life, I never explored those, we drove wherever we went.

Stayed at the Aston Kaanapali Shores a few years ago and LOVED it. I would definitely say go for it. We had a 1 bedroom condo oceanview. Nice size living room, small dining area, and full size kitchen. Bedroom was nice too. Beautiful grounds and located right on the beach. They also have 1 restaurant onsite.
Have fun!!

The beach is not so much "poor" as small, i.e., narrow. But we had a great stay there a few years ago. Our very comfortable 2BR condo opened right onto the pool and jacuzzi, and the ocean was just a few steps away.
However, unless things have changed a lot, there is no night life you can walk to. Kaanapali is only about a 10 minute drive, with all its restaurants and hotels, and Lahaina is maybe another 10, 15 by the time you park.
