Ashland, OR - Pet-friendly lodging
Hi,
Seeking a hotel, inn or B&B in Ashland, OR that accepts pets (small, young and house-trained dog). I've found several chain-type motels, but nothing overly charming. So, any recommendations are appreciated. Would like to be within 5 miles of city center/theater.
Much thanks.

Except for a few death-by-potpourri places, "charming" and "hotel" are words that don't go together in Ashland IMO. In our many times there we've never stayed in a place that scored above a 3 on the charm-o-meter, so we've taken to staying in Medford and saving money. Others may have a different story - I'd like to hear it.

I've stayed at Bard's Inn a couple of times and it will remain my place of choice there. First time we stayed in the main building and it was fine -- just sort of a well run old fashioned motel. Last summer we stayed at one of their annexes across the street. We had a huge "apartment" and parking under the building. The rooms in that building are much nicer than those in the main building, even though most of them are not the huge apartment ones.

Thanks, xxx. I have been through many of the pet-related travel sites and was disappointed in the overall quality of the lodgings mentioned in Ashland/Medford. So, I was hoping someone had found a B&B or inn not listed on these sites. But, many thanks.
