Arrived to Sunny Seattle

Good Morning from Seattle, We arrived yesterday afternoon to beautiful, sunny weather. We were up at 0430 Seattle time which is 0630 in South Dakota. We drank our delivered complimentary coffee and walked outside for 3.5 miles. We headed down to the waterfront on empty streets. It was great. A family that we met while we spent a year in Kenya has two restuarants here in Seattle. We are meeting at 1000 this morning and going shopping. We will check out the chef's (the son) talents tonight. Thanks again everyone for giving me advice when I asked. Owa

Have a great time! Will you be going up in the Space Needle? Sunny weather would be a nice time for this! ***kim***

hi Owa, I thought of you this morning when I woke up to our first gray & overcast day this week! Oh well, typical Seattle. Glad you arrived safely and please enjoy your stay here.

Good Morning Suze. At this hour it is really raining!!We were out at 0600 walking and it was raining lightly so we enjoyed the exercise. I'm off to Pioneer Square in a bit. Was planning to walk, but will now take a cab. Then I will join my husband at the SCAA (speciality coffee meeting) to view all the exhibits. Should be very interesting.

What a wonderful day I had yesterday. My friend and I walked aroung in the light rain, shopped, talked nonstop and ate lunch at a Turkish cafe (fantastic). We then met them and their chef son at his cafe(World Beat Cafe on Ne 65th). We didn't order as he choose the food and sent it out. It was pure joy eating and remembering our year in Kenya together when are children were teens. Tonight we will meet them at their other restuarant. Who cares if it is raining! Thanks for thinking of me this morning Suze. Owa

Thanks for posting, this is a first! That I get to read a trip report from my own city.

It's just pouring today, maybe making a dent on the lack of rainfall we've had this year.
