Just returned from our trip to NY (and a cruise to NE & Canada) last week. I wanted to come back and give you some Feedback on Strussors Limo Company.

I bargained to get that price down somewhat from what I originally posted, and I'm so glad I did because they come up with all their promises and more to make it a wonderful memorable trip. Robert was fantastic ringing me in UK to make sure all 4 arrangments were correct, he even laid on a superstretch Limo for all 4 journies at no extra charge. Robert also had the champagne on ice which we kept and cracked open at sailaway on the ship next day!

For all you sceptics out there on the Fodors boards the alcohol was very drinkable, he even provided all 6 of us with our chosen tipple - and I agree we didn't want to get plastered on the way from the airport but it was jolly nice after a long flight to open a bottle of chilled wine and relax in luxury with a chauffaeur (instead of the usual yellow cab driver who often don't know where they are going if its not Times Square).

It was perhaps an indulgence, but this is out holiday so its fine to indulge once in a while - and for our 4 first timers to NY whot were travelling with us on this trip can you imagine how memorable that made it for them? If anyone wants details let me know? We had Mike who had been a chauffeaur for 30 years, he was very knowledgable about NY and on the last journey back to JFK he took us on a beautiful scenic way back that we would probably never see.

So I say go for it - if 6 of you are travelling together like we were, the cost isn't much more, but the memories are way better.

lynn, I was just posting on your Grand Canyon post as well. I see that you say "money is important to us", but unlike many posters here, you really don't mind going a more expensive route if it makes for a more memorable trip. I noticed on that one other thread some people want to assume that you are looking for the cheapest way to do something. Good for you in sticking to your guns (how's that for an American phrase?) and splurging when time and/or overall enjoyment are more important than the bottom line cost.

Glad it worked out for you - and good to see a final report. It's always nice, when there is a lot of discussion, to hear how things ultimately worked out.

Your right I did say money is important to us, which It is. But having said that when we split the Limo cost between six of us the cost each was little more than the so called cheaper option - so wouldn't anyone choose the luxurious way? I know I would every time. It was a great experience though really!
