Anyone stayed at Prince Kuhio Condos in Kauai recently?

I'm considering this location and would appreciate feedback from anyone who stayed there recently. I'm looking for someplace clean, quiet and close to the beach(es). I don't need fancy but really want nice scenery etc. Thanks in advance!

These condos are owned individually and will vary. The PK is next to the Lawai Beach resort. Lawai Beach runs parallel to the ocean (across the street, tho) in contrast to Prince Kuhio which is perpindicular. So make sure you get the particulars on the view you will have at PK. The beach there in front of the Beach House is scenic but very small. This is a nice residential area, lots of places for walking. Can be hot in summer.

You should also check out Kuhio Shores, which is across the street from Prince Kuhio - nothing between KS and the ocean. Units are also individually owned so prices vary considerably. Do a google search and you'll get lots of listings. All units in Kuhio Shores have excellent ocean views.

Thanks vivi and pdxgirl. I've seen photos of the condo I'm considering and it looks nice with a small patio off the kitchen with ocean views. I'd through about Kuhio Shores but they don't have a pool. Either of you have ideas on walking distance/times to larger beaches (I know the one out front is pretty small). Thanks again.

I'd say it's about a 15 minute walk to the beach between the Sheraton and the Kiahuna.
