Anyone stayed at Hale O Pueo (Kohala, BI) or Hale Ma'alea (Kauai)?
Has anyone stayed at Hale O Pueo in Kohala on the Big Island? What about Hideaway Cottage on the Braverman Estate in Kauai? We are traveling to these places in August and just curious about what to expect. We wanted to stay away from the big, pricey, touristy resorts and I hope it is a good decision! Thanks!

We stayed at Hale Ma'alea last year for our honeymoon. We wanted something more personal also and we enjoyed our stay. The Bravermans are a great couple...are they still there? I have pics I could share as well as more info if you'd like just let me know.

Yes, I believe the Braverman's are still there. We will be staying in the Hideaway Cottage. I would love to see pics.
How far is it to Princeville and then down to Waimea Canyon from there?
Do you have any restaurant recommendations in that area?
