Anybody see Miracle Worker in Charlotte?

I'd be interested in your opinion.

Haven't seen it but as far as going to Broadway...it's been cancelled before it even previewed. From what I've read, it still needs some work.

Several friends have seen it. They said Swank was having difficulty with her accent and she hadn't really yet found her character.

Thanks. As to why, it was supposed to come to NY, it's been cancelled or postponed. What I like to do actually is get first-hand opinions of out of town productions and buy tickets before things open, when you can usually find some kind of low-price promotion (e.g. did this with Hairspray, thanks to this board actually).

I do the same thing, which is why I got seats very early in the game for Hairspray.
I was curious, because to me, the mere fact that the show closed out of town would have have been enough of an indication that it wasn't worth getting tickets for!

Actually -- I didn't know it "closed" out of town, only that its coming here was cancelled or postponed. I didn't read anything about it, jsut hear things from people. And a friend and I already had tickets, which will be refunded. But I did not know for sure if the cancellation had to do with it being really not good or with it needing fine-tuning.
