Yes, those are the highest up seats. Here's a link to the seating chart -- it's very hard to get good seats unless you do it at an online premium site.

I like to get loge level, 1st base or 3rd base, box # no higher than section 460. You can get these on a broker like stubhub.com for a mid week game for not much more than the $55-$60 list price (probably higher next season).
Anything higher up, or further down the line it's hard to see any of the action.
People say Tier Box MVP seats are pretty good too - upper deck, but the section between 1st base to 3rd base.

You might try the www.yankees.com website for more information and ticket sales.
I also found ebay to be wonderful for tickets. We bought 2 sets for different games and the price was just about face ticket value.

After dozens of games sitting in every level at one time or another, I've come to accept the fact that it's so darn expensive anymore, tier reserved is the only way I was going to hit more than a few games every year! I truly don't think T.R. is a bad view...the only bad view is if you're stuck too close to the foul poles-at any level! As long as I'm in the stadium,it's going to be a good time. I get my Yankee tickets almost exclusively on Ebay anymore. Can get T.R below face regularly. The team that they're playing will influence price just as much as seat location. Sox and Mets will always be an arm and a leg(and the rowdiest crowds, too)
Get to the stadium any way you can before they build the new one! Now that I moved to WA,I've got to wait until the end of Aug to see my Yanks live!

Yes - tier reserved is nposebleed - also not good for thos with vertigo or unstable footing.
IMHO - if you're only going once spring for it - use either e-bay or one of the on-line scalpers and get a fieldbox near first or third. They're available for every game. If the opponent isn;t good you may get them for not much more than face value - about $100 each - if it's the Red Sox figure $250 or so.
(To me - this is the same as if you go to the theater once a year - get good tickets - worry about price only if you plan on going often.)
