What is your definition of "good"? I doubt if you're going to find many "fine dining" places except very early in the trip. There's a 50's style diner on old Route 66 just to the east of Barstow that is interesting and serves great breakfast's and lunches if you like old fashioned, cholesterol-laden food. Other than that, once you get past San Bernardino I'm not aware of anything I would classify as "good".

Methinks you're looking at Bun Boy in Baker (look for the world's tallest thermometer) or chain fast food restaurants.

I'd have to second Bun Boy - not necessarily for the food, but the overall humor involved in the stop. Be sure to take your picture in front of that thermometer!

I'll vote for the "Mad Greek" also in Baker...more variety than Bun Boy.

Thanks for the suggestion of the "Mad Greek" restaurant. That sounds good to us. I also just heard about "Don's Restaurant" in Victorville.
