Anniversary trip to Palm Springs and San Diego
Plans always change. Instead of going to FL for our 20th anniversary, we are going to the Westin Rancho Mirage for 2 nites (free stay) and then going to San Diego for 2 nights and staying at the Pacific Terrace Hotel.
I'm looking for restaurant suggestions for a nice anniversary dinner while in Rancho Mirage. Any suggestions.

Assume you're looking for something more than casual dining.
Old World romantic: Europa at the Villa Royale in Palm Springs
"Old school" desert dining experience: Wally's Desert Turtle in Rancho Mirage
Others: Jillian's, Palm Desert; Lavendar Bistro, La Quinta; Morgans, LQ Resort
I hope you have a great anniversary trip.

Pt. Loma Seafood has done a huge renovation and is very nice now. The new upstairs is open with umbrellas and the view of downtown and the bay is excellent.
For dinner (since you will be in Pacfic Beach) I highly recommend The Fishery on Cass Street. If you prefer Calif cusine I recommend Beaumont's on La Jolla Blvd. Both are within a short drive (a few miles) of your hotel.

Like Pt. Loma Seafoods - can't get any fresher - but it's really more of a fish and chips/market place. If you want something with more atmosphere - try Bo Beau in Pt. Loma - or Island Prime/C Level on Harbor Island, both run the the Cohn group. http://www.cohnrestaurants.com/menu-...rants/bo-beau/

At both C Level - and my favorite French restaurant - La Tapenade - they have a cocktail hour menu that has good food- reasonably priced. www.tapenaderestaurant.com/

Actually - for seafood - with a great view and nice atmosphere - the prices at the downtown Fish Market are not that much more expensive than Pt. Loma Seafoods - as it's just as good. The more expensive/gourmet - Top of the Market - is great - but again - more expensive. You are also next to the USS Midway - which is very interesting to tour. see:http://www.thefishmarket.com/locations.aspx?id=6
