Palm Desert to San Diego

We are staying in Palm Desert for a week and want to drive to San Diego for a ball game/day trip.

Any restaurant suggestions along the way?

Any other suggestions in Palm Desert would be great. LOVE authentic Italian and Mexican food.

CASTELLI’S is quite popular - I've enjoyed the food there.

Hi cmsitaly.

Well, I can recommend Riccio's in Palm Springs for Italian.

And depending in how adventurous you are, here are some thoughts on pretty authentic Mexican food.

Least adventurous (but very good): Rosamarillo's on the border between La Quinta and Indio at Ave 50 and Jefferson St.

More adventurous: Teresa's cafe, Mexicali Cafe and Aureola's, all in Indio. The stuffed bell peppers at Mexicali are to die for.

Have fun.
