Airport Security-a joke on recent trip thru Chicago

Just got back - made a round trip Chicago to Pensacola, FL & back. Absolutely amazing that all the new security measures and x-rays did not catch the 4 inch knife in my carry on.

Now before everyone jumps me for actually taking a knife on board - let me explain. I went to a Pampered Chef party the night before my trip. Won a knife as a door prize. Dropped it in my purse to take home. Didn't think about it again until I reached my destination. I was so surprised that I had not been stopped. It intrigued me so much that I left it in my carry on on the way back. Some may consider that stupid, but I wanted to test the system again.

They didn't even ask to open the bag. Security staff did not even notce it in the scanners.

So unless they start doing better security checks, I guess just about anything can get through.

Lori, you're either a troll or major-league STUPID for being "intrigued so much that I left it in my carry on on the way back". Too bad they didn't catch you because you deserved time in the moron facility at O'Hare.

Yeah, Lori. You're right. That is dumb. Why don't you keep trying it till you get caught? Then you'll get your 15 minutes of fame. And, hopefully, 30 days in the slammer with some big, mean, diseased bull-dyke just hunting for a new girl-friend.

Good grief people. Talk about bad attitudes. By chance are you unemployed airport security personnel?

I though it was interesting that someone could still get through with all the new security updates. I also thought some who read this might think the same.

There are better things to do with one's time than to call names and degrade others. Please find another board on which to do that.

Lori - IF they had caught you, it would have delayed lots of people getting to their gates on time. And you did it for a lark. That makes you a JERK.

Is anyone here concerned that a knife that big did make it on board two times? Or is the possible inconvenience factor more important to you guys?

Anyone that puts a KNIFE in their carry on is either an AIRHEAD, MORON, or looking to get attention. And to brag about it here shows an amazing lack of sense especially posting your real email address. Think I will forward that to the FBI. By the way Lori which category do you fall into? My guess is the attention seeking one. See a shrink will ya....
