Don't know about Alaska, but we don't in Hawaii...we don't need to save daylight, as we have plenty all year round!

Okay Alaska is pretty obvious....I know they get almost 24 hours of daylight by the time the solstace happens in June. So would someone tell me why Hawaii would get anymore daylight than the rest of us here in the Continental US?

Hawaii is closer to the equator so their daylight is fairly equal all year long. They do not have the big variations in daylight hours that the mainland does. Daylight savings steals the daylight from the morning and puts it in the evening to cut down on the energy use it take to "light up" cities in the evening. I love Daylight savings time!!!!
