Transportation from airport

I'm traveling alone and staying at the Hyatt on E. Wacker. I'm trying to figure out if I should use the Airport Express or take a cab. How long a ride is it in a cab? I'm assuming the shuttle would be quite a bit longer because it stops at several hotels. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I'm guessing Chicago? What airport?

The EL is the easiest way to get downtown.

Hi pegoode, if you would repost and add the airport name to the title of your thread I imagine you will get a lot of responses. Best wishes.

Yes, it's Chicago. But is it O'Hare or Midway?

I would repost with your specific information.

However, we took a cab (family of 4) from E. Wacker to Midway -- I believe the fare was $40, but I can't be sure if that included the tip. If my memory serves me, the ride was under 45 minutes on a weekend, with little traffic.

Let's take it easy on each other; Pegoode is just looking for some help.

The El serves both Midway and O'Hare. It is safe, cheap, and faster than driving during rush hour.
