Airfare to Hawaii

I was just checking out continetals website and they are offering roudntrip airfare to Honalulu for 605/per person from Newark, NJ non-stop. Is this a good price?

Also, can anyone suggest a car rental company with good rates. We intend to rent a car on both Maui and Kaui. Thank you!!!

I think it is a good price, though I do recall it dropping to around $550 $)just after I purchased our tickets ~$600, last year.

If it makes sense for you, alternatively can try LGA or JFK to HNL (connect at IAH) might come lower, though usually not.

When do you plan to travel? If you don't mind one stopover, right now there are some very cheap airfares between the east and the west coast ($164 RT), and also between the west coast and Honolulu (as low as $269 RT Hawaiian airlines).
If you plan it right, you could save a few bucks, but it won't be nonstop between Newark & Honolulu.

Make sure it's really non-stop if that's what you want. ATA says direct flight from Newark to Honolulu, but it stops in San Francisco or Los Angeles.

Direct and Non-Stop are not the same thing. I agree with Shanghainese, make sure you understand what you are getting.

I like this online site to reserve a car. No credit card is required and they compare prices for you. I have never had a problem.

Aloha Hawaii2004! To be honest with you, I didn't do a whole lot of shopping around (because I used frequent flier miles for my companion's ticket), but I purchased a non-stop ticket from Atlanta to Honolulu on Delta. I purchased this ticket the first day that the plane became available for booking. My ticket was $805.00 round trip. So, I think that $605 from New Jersey to Honolulu non-stop is a good price. Have a great trip!

This sounds like great airfare. We are paying $711 from Portland ME on United to Kona on the big island. I watched it for months, bought the tickets the day it went to that, then I've seen it close but not that low since. Buy them when you see a good price. I've heard that this will be a busy travel year. Probably travel industry propaganda.

I found airfare for this itinarary what do you think
austin tx - Honolulu (HNL)
HNL - Kona(KOA)
KOA - Kauai(LIH)
LIH - Austin tx
$798.53 x 3 passengers = $2395.59
this includes US transportation tax, segment tax, 911 fee etc.
Website is www.itasoftware.com
It gives booking codes and fare codes to take to your travel agent to get these fares. Anyone every use them?
