affordable spa

Need suggestions for a more affordably priced spa with lots of fitness classes (including water fitness, if possible). Thank you.

More affordably priced than what?

And in any particular city or state?

Don't know where or when you are looking, but Deerfield Spa is very reasonable, but not open year round.

I am looking for affordable spas in Florida to escape cold weather in the northeast (and had posted this message in the Florida portion of the US Forum). Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

pat12: now that is something Fodors needs to make more clear - posting in the Florida section as far as I can tell, is only helpful when searching for info on 'Florida" in the search bar - when you put somthething in a 'state' category, it just all comes up under the United States drop down choice -

so that is why people did not have any idea what state you were referring to -

Affordable means different things to different people - I like the spa at the Doral and at the Breakers -
but I don't know if either of those places would fall into your 'affordable' category - so it is always best to give a ballpark of what you would like to spend - then I am sure you will get many great suggestions, since there are many knowledgeable Florida and "spa" contributors here.

pat12:

for you, here is the blurb on the category/search function:

"Make your message easy to find: Give it a clear, identifying title, and pick the most accurate search topic (you can select more than one topic by holding down the Control or Apple button). Questions? See our Travel Talk FAQ."

which is why it works for searching (sometimes) but no separate categories when posting - which is why you need the clear identifiying title like "affordable overnight spas in Florida" - so if you don't get enough responses to this one, and it falls again to the bottom part of the list - you might want to try posting a new message title with more info -

good luck !

A while ago - I did a spa week at the Bonaventure spa in Ft Lauderdale (also in the winter - I lived in Ct at the time).... It was fabulous!!! I think they're still there - they also are a big golf place... (maybe tennis, too).... They did have water aerobics every day, and alot of other options.....
