Have you considered The Moorings in Islamorada. Beautiful private beach with tropical setings and some what secluded. A large pool in background of the resort and the cottages right on the beach. They also have private houses on the resort. If planning to go in the prime season expect to budget about $3,500 or in the off season about $2,800. The beach is always clean and very romantic.

Boca Raton Resort & Spa, The Breakers, Little Palm Island, and The Ritz on Naples and Biscayne Bay are a couple that come to mind.

I agree...the Ritz on Biscayne Bay is very beautiful and tropica.

Sanibel or Marco Island on the Gulf coast. Captiva Island is also nice.
