Advice on hot springs near Phoenix/Sedona area?

Hi, Family of four from Australia starting to become more knowledgable about Arizona area thanks to this forum! Now wanting to know of some 4 or 5-star hot spring resorts for January in the Phoenix/Sedona/Grand Canyon? area that are also suitable for young teenagers. Thanks.

Hot springs? I've been going to Phoenix and Sedona for years and have never heard of any hot springs in either place.

Hi emd and starrsville. Are there hot springs in Utah? (Being from Sydney where kangaroos hop down the main street, I thought there were hot springs in that neck of the woods.)Failing hot springs, best heated pools in resorts for family? (Sounds like Maxwell Smart!)

Now that we can answer. Especially with regard to Phoenix, where the resorts are known for their pools.

There are some pools in Sedona, but in January you'd need an inddor pool, and I think only the Hilton resort in Sedona has an indoor pool, as we had a discussion about that a few months ago on this board.

Regarding Phoneix, what's your budget?

Well, I take that back about Sedona- maybe there are outdoor pools that are heated to swim in January. You might ask about the Hyatt resort's pool there, as I see on their website that it is open year round.

You might want to start another post with "great pools in January in Sedona/Phoneix" or something like that, as it might get you better responses.

There used to be Castle Hot Springs near Wickenburg. John F. Kennedy was among its guests when recuperating after WWII. It burned down several years ago and has never been rebuilt.

There are some hot spings along the Verde River near Childs, but these are not developed - just hot water seeping into the river.

info addict, I still think you'd get more help on Phoenix resorts/pools of interest to your teenagers if you repost with a title more reflective of that question. There are many people on here who know about Phoenix resorts and their pools. At least do a search on this board for that topic, and when you have it narrowed down to a few resorts you are interested in, come back and ask here about them. There are so many resorts in Phoenix to choose from.

You like architecture. You do know about Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin West in Sctoosdale, right? And there is much architectural history in evidence at the Biltmore resort, although I believe there is some dispute as to whether Wright really designed it or if his role was more limited as that of a consultant.

I know that some people have recommended Enchantment resort to you in Sedona. It is a resort in a lovely canyon setting, but just fyi, it is not known for its pools.
