Unfortunately, I think the only way to be sure if your potential rental car has a trunk (or cover) is to call the location. I've run into a lot of small cars that are hatchbacks and if you're going with a "cheap" agency there is a good chance it will be a strippo model with no cover (it's an option in most cases). Remember, many of the agencies are getting the cars that don't sell.
