Why wear a girdle under your swimsuit? Look into buying a Mirclesuit or Trimshaper swimsuit. They are sold in many dept stores and I think Travelsmith has them. I bought one this year and it works just as well as a girdle.

I remember my mother chastising me for not owning a girdle, saying "after I had my first baby, I never left the house without wearing my girdle."

I occasionally wonder what common garment or grooming apparatus, will disappear in the next generation. (like garter belts and slips have done). I imagine myself at age 85, sitting in my rocking chair, shaking my head as my great-granddaughter goes out the door, and saying "I can't believe you girls don't ________ anymore."

If you're wearing a girdle on the plane and you start to retain fluid and begin to swell, does that mean your boobs get bigger? I mean it has to have some place to go doesn't it? Maybe that where the "hour glass" figure comes from?

the way of whalebone stays and hoop skirts. But I dont understand this:
why would anyone wear a girdle (under or
