50 Best girlfriend getaways

My local independent bookstore just recommended this title, and since this is a question that comes up here pretty often...

50 BEST GIRLFRIEND GETAWAYS IN NORTH AMERICA by MARYBETH BOND – “Divided into ten chapters covering everything from ‘Birthday Blowouts’ to ‘Places to Heal’, this National Geographic travel guide is full of great ideas for girlfriend getaways, mother/ daughter bonding, and rejuvenating retreats. Incorporating a wide range of budgets, as well as practical travel tips, travel author Mary Beth Bond has created the perfect guide to a women only vacation.”

Some guys like the No Tell Motel or the Hot Pillow Hotel, but most just use their offices....if that counts as a girlfriend getaway.

Whew. I was trying to picture you and the other 49 best girlfriends trying to decide where to go together.

It's not as tricky as you may think, Neo. Unlike the year we squeezed into a Minnie Winnie--now that was a challenge.

I think the bigger battle is to convince them you can choose a good hotel

Thanks. I have been doing girlfriends getaways for several years now and I find that they can be truly amazing if you have the right combination of women, and a good plan. I am going to look into this book. I wonder if anyone has had a chance to peek inside yet?

Thanks for the info. My trouble has been getting my snowbound Northeastern girlfriends to consider something other than lounging at the pool or beach . Maybe I'll buy them each a copy when they come here next month for our desert getaway (our 5th annual).
