5 Best Restaurants in Aspen

We're looking for great food, atmosphere, and people watching. Any suggestions?

Also, heard that Crystal Palace was fun and put on a good show. Comments?

I already mentioned Pine Creek Cookhouse on your other post.

I'm not expert, but we LOVED Cache, Cache. Also had great Italian and super service at Campo di Fiori. We were disappointed in Olives at the St. Regis.

JES, I thought maybe you had missed my post since you said I didn't offer suggestions, but I see you already ackowledged this.

But seems I'm the only one so far. Surely someone else has suggestions for Aspen resaturants for JES???

Patrick, Is there anywhere you haven't been? You must have a money tree in your backyard!

You're right Patrick...sorry, I didn't realize that was your posting. Thanks for the suggestions. Have you been to Jimmy's?
It's supposed to have great food and salsa dancing.
we have to decide between there and the Lynn Britt Cabin (cat to mountain top) as we can't do both (only Sat. night will work for both).
Do you know anything about Gusto's for a casual night vs. Mezzaluna?

Sorry no. As I said, I'm not an expert on Aspen. My post above just above covered my experiences there. The other suggestion is to follow the crowds. One place that had been highly recommended (forget the name) we noticed was almost empty as we went to dinner our first night and returned much later. We took that as a bad sign and canceled our reservation. We were glad we did, because that's the night we switched to Cache, Cache which was really our favorite.

That's good to know...I've heard some good things about Cache Cache. Good advice....We usually book as a back up to make sure we can at least get in somewhere in case it's crowded.
