30th Birthday
My 30th birthday is in February and I am looking suggestions on where to go. I usually go to NYC for my birthday every year (I live in RI, it's an easy trip to make) but I'm looking for something different. It would be a group of no more than 6 and for my birthday weekend (2/24-2/27). I know I'm not being too specific, but I honestly am stumped and am looking for any ideas. Thank you so much in advance!!

Thank you Ryan! I probably wouldn't do South Beach if only because I've been there before (but if I hadn't it would've been a great suggestion!). New Orleans had also piqued my interest, but I wasn't sure if it was do-able in a long weekend, but I will add it to my list of places to research
Any other place that is do-able for a long weekend?

I would think the issue is one of travel time and cost. If by weekend you mean Friday day/night with a Sunday night return, then your options are limited. Florida is easy enough, but I could see where flying to New Orleans takes up too much of the weekend/
I would also think the composition of your group will make a difference. Is it a mixed group of men and women or just one or the other? Demographics of what people like to do?
You looking for dinners, spa, etc?
Everyone looking for warm weather (Which in February really isn't that easy unless heading pretty far south in Florida. We've been in Orlando in February and we needed our winter coats.)
Somewhere easy for more people to attend or ok with a group that you know can make an away trip?
Given the proximity, if you don't care about weather and want to make the logistics easy than why not consider NYC or even somewhere like Mohegan Sun or Foxwoods?

Ryan, I was thinking of leaving on a Friday and returning on a Monday.
I don't have my final group of ppl together, but it will likely consist of mostly females with a possibility of one or two guys.
I would like someplace even remotely warmer than New England in the winter. And as far as making it easier for other people, I'm pulling the birthday girl card and making them bend to my will.
(Also, every year for the most part I go to NYC for my birthday and am looking for something different on my 30th). I'm looking for dinners, spa, nightlife and things to do and see during the day. I want a lot I know, but hopefully I can find someplace...
