3 cities, 3 days

I & my 3 school age children are going along with my husband on business trip. He has 1 appt in Central Islip on Monday, 11-11. we are going to leave 2nite from NC & try to hit DC on Sat., NYC on Sunday, Business 1/2 day in central islip, try to hit Philly on way back Monday. Must be back in NC on Tuesday by noon so oldest child can play Jr. high school bball game. Any suggestion, tricks, tips?

Have you looked at a map? You are going to lug 3 children and suitcases to 3 cities in 3 days? Driving? Flying? Training? Makes no difference, this is ridiculous. DC on Saturday, NYC on Sunday, and 1/2 day in Philly on Monday? Am I reading that right. Because if I am, I am not going to even bother answering this moronic question. Surely, appstate.edu, you are not simple minded enough to believe you can do much of anything in 3 cities in 3 days--WITH or WITHOUT 3 kids in tow. How some people get to adulthood without killing themselves or others, I just don't know.

I'm afraid that getback has said what I was thinking. Drivingdirect from Raleigh to islip wouldbe 9 hours, so you're looking at at least 18 hours of driving between Friday night and Tuesday morning. Not my idea of a vacation.

There is so much driving in this trip that you will not be able to see anything - when you get to one place, you will have time to sleep, wake up, and begin the next drive.

Shan, I don't normally try to sound snide when I think someone is asking a legitimate question, but your plan is simply insane. Just spend three days in New York, there's enough in that city alone for three WEEKS.

Even if it were just two adults, I'd think the schedule you have there is crazy. But doing it with three kids is TOTALLY crazy.

Did I mention I don't think you should try your schedule?
