2nd to Suba
We are planning a group dinner for a birthday and our first choice to try is Suba. We have a reservation for now but are a little concerned about the timing with going to a show. What would be your next choice?

suba is on the lower east side - a group dinner always takes a long time - most theaters are in the 40's 50's on the west side - unless you want to eat at 5 - go someplace closer to te theater - or at least on the west side where you canshoot uptown. Suba is a small restaurant in the basement, made to look like a grotta - we had a nice time there, but classify it in the "oner" category - a restaraunt you want to try - are happy you did - but wouldnt return to!

I've been to Suba a half dozen times, usually with a group of 8 or more. It's a fun restaurant with a great vibe.
But it's certainly a LONG way from the Theater District. If you're show is there, I'd strongly suggest going somewhere else for dinner.

Probably would like to sit down around 7. Any other fun suggestions would be appreciated.
