2 adults - Epcot & Universal - how long?

My husband and I will be on business in Florida in June and will have two full days afterwards to experience the parks.  This will be a Monday and a Tuesday, it will just be the two of us, and we are planning to get there when the parks open and stay till they close.  Go till we drop!  =)   We really want to do Epcot - will this take us a full day?  Can it be done in 1/2 or 3/4 day and combined with another park or is that just too much?  We did Disneyland last year so weren't planning to do the Magic Kingdom (or Animal Kingdom or MGM), unless Epcot won't take us a full day - then we might consider a park hopper.

For our other day, we would like to visit Universal.  We love rides so were thinking of doing Islands of Adventure.  Again, will this take us a full day?  Or could we do it and then spend a few hours at the other Universal park?

Any ideas would be appreciated.  We love theme parks and just want to make the most of our time.  We'll have time to relax after we leave Orlando.  Thanks!

We spent two full days in Epcot, and that was barely enough time to visit every exhibit.

If you are courageous and like to take daring rides go to the Islands of Adventure. But the Universal side is also very nice to walk around. It's only $5 more to buy both sides for 1 day:

Epcot is a full day.

You must also account for the heat. With the humidity and sometimes temps in the 90's you can usually not make it past noon or so, we had to start at around 8-9 visit for a few hours, go back to the room to get out of the heat, and then start again around 3:30-4. Hope this helps.

Try to do both parks at Universal. I LOVE Islands of Adventure, but Universal Studios has some great attractions too. The theming at both parks is fantastic!

Be SURE to ride Soaring at Epcot. To shorten your wait time Fast Pass it first thing when you arrive at the park. Also, don't miss the fireworks display.

Epcot has an amazing number of things to do-for adults who are really interested I would allow the best part of 2 days. IMHO Universal is much more like a traditional amusement park and has much less for adults. Epcot is more like a World's Fair.

Epcot is huge - it takes quite a while just to get from one attraction to the next, so definitely an entire day is needed.

I have to disagree about Universal. It is not an "amusement park". The theming in thir parks is amazing.
Epcot will definitely take a full day.

I understand that your time is very limited and that it must be "rationed".If you want to go to EPCOT and Universal/Islands of Adventure, this is all doable in two days.

EPCOT is a minimum of one full day.

Universal & Islands of Adventure can both be done in one full day.

Of course, you will not see everything in each venue, and you will be physically exhausted, but you can experience the best of each in one full day.

Go ahead and have fun!

Thanks for the advice everyone! We will do a full day at Epcot, and another full day to see both Universal Parks (especially for that price). Thank you!
