Hello vic, Gee there are some really nice suggestions here but a few nutty ones as well. Some people just can't get serious.

Another of my favorites, shopping at Nordstroms!! A must for all you ladies especially. Also Irish coffee at the BV and I just recently had dinner at the Cliff House. Wonderful ambiance and a very historic place also. We went for Easter and Macy's had a wonderful floral display inside as well as each window being done in different floral themes. Lots of great places to eat! Some georgeous hotels to just walk around in and take it all in. Don't miss Fisherman's Warf and clam chowder in a bread bowl..........YUM! Always a lot to see and do in SF. Oh by the way, what is SFMOMA? Guess I am not familiar with that one. Point Richmond across the Richmond Bridge has a fabulous B&B that is a light house out in the bay. Expensive but a fabulous anniversary or special birthday treat! Called The East Brother Light House Station. Not actually "IN" SF but in the bay and a wonderful place you will never forget.

46. Go to Fisherman's Wharf and see how many crabs you can stuff down your pants.

Kal, De Young Museum is being knocked down as we speak. There was an article in the Chron yesterday, you can check it out at sfgate.com. They are building a new building on the spot, designed by some Swiss architect. I guess it was badly damaged in the Loma Prieta earthquake?

Can't think of the name but there is a huge, beautiful church on Nob Hill that is worth seeing for the architectural beauty.

Also drive 20 mins north to see Muir Woods.

-Cruising around Chinatown then stopping for dim sum
-Working out at the YMCA Embarcadero (presumably to work off the dim sum)
-Shopping the cute stores in Noe Valley
-Walking across the Bridge to Sausalito, then having lunch there
-Union Square!!!
-Dinner at Crustacean or Thanh Long (mm mm garlic noodles and garlic crab)

OK, looking at this list, my life apparently revolves around food and shopping. yow! No wonder I need to work out at the YMCA!!

Ize: SFMOMA - San Francisco Museum of Modern Art in the downtown area, south of Market Street. They have a great shop in front too.

Alli, if you only have three days in SF I don't advise you to spend one of them in Napa. You'll have plenty to do in the city and should save the wine country for another visit.

How do you end up in Sausalito by walking across the GGB? I thought it was a bit away. I'd like to do this but I'm unsure of its possibility. Please advise.

JJ--you know, you're right, it's a few miles to Sausalito. I forgot that I did that with a former BF when we were on a total fitness kick. Well, it works off the dim sum!!!

There's a hilltop in The Sunset area at the end 14th Street (or Avenue, I can't remember). Nice views up there. No where nearly as crowded as Twin Peaks.

1.Ride the F Market Street car and check out all the hookers on Market Street
2. Steering clear of the overwhelming homeless population as you walk the streets
3. Taking in the smell of urine as you stroll past the shops in Union Square
4. Appreciating the graffiti art
5. Looking at the various designs of iron bars on the doors and windows of the Mission District
6. Sitting next to a prostitute on the bus
7. Eating in many of the overrated and overpriced restaurants.
8. Enjoying the wonderful foggy summer weather which consists of about 3 hrs. of sunlight per day
9. Going to Golden Gate park to pick up trash
10.Taking in the serenity of the deserted downtown after dark
