1 yr old okay at Pageant of the Masters?

Just wondering if there would be any issues in bringing a 1 yr old to the Pageant of the Masters in Laguna Hills. Also, would she need a separate ticket?

Thanks.

I haven't been in years, but from my recollection it would be extremely boring for a one year old. I don't know about the ticket issue. Hopefully someone else can offer you more complete and current advice.

I haven't been in years, either, but I presume this child will be sleeping and you don't want to get a sitter? It's late at night. I don't remember seeing infants, but they might not care or at least not forbid it. Why don't you just call and ask them, they even have an 800 number.

Leave the poor kid home - he/she will not know anything going on, and will probably get cranky sitting still for so long. A crying baby would definitely not be fair to others, and keeping him up so late would not be fair to the baby.

I went to the pageant two years ago. I would leave the child at home.

The festival is extremely crowded and the pageant doesn't start until 8:30 p.m. After the sun goes down, it gets really chilly in Laguna Beach and many people had blankets and throws. There are also people drinking alcohol.

Although the pageant is awesome, after the novelty of seeing the paintings come to life wore off, I got a little bored. A one-year old would be bored from the outset. Overall, I think it would be uncomfortable for both you and the child if you bring her.

For ticket questions, you can call 1-800-487-3378. The website is www.foapom.com (Festival of Arts Pageant of the Masters)

I would never bring a child that young to Pageant of the Masters unless:
1. you have a seat right by the exit and are prepared to leave and miss it yourself
2. you are sure your child would be asleep by 8:00 when it starts and sleep through it.
