Hi. I'm planning on proposing to my long term girlfriend in Brugges in Belgium. Does anyone have any romantic suggestions? I would really like to make it something special. Thanks a lot.

Congratulations! Brugges is one of my favorite places in Europe (or anywhere)! It is a very romantic city so it shoudn't be hard to find a nice place to pop the question. Maybe you could propose over one of the pretty bridges that cross the canal. Lake Minnewater is close by too, on the outskirts of town. You can find it on any of the maps that the hotel will give you. It's a Lovers Lake and is beautiful in the summer evenings. It's not as packed at the city center, but within easy walking distance. Maybe sunset in the gardens of the Minnewater would be a great place to propose! There are park benches and walking paths to wander through and enjoy the views. We stayed at the Hotel Jan Brito which was absolutely beautiful. Be sure to pick up some delicious Belgian pralines to share when you get back to the room!
