Of course, I understand, it's just that my factual experience of June in Seattle apparently differs from yours, dulcie. That's all.

Did you ever watch the McLaughlin Group, ages ago, when dinosaurs roamed the earth? (Who even remembers John McLaughlin??) Anyway, he would poll his panel at the end of the show on some question of the day, always on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being "ontological certainty".

So: do I have ontological certainty that it won't rain in Seattle in June? Perhaps not, but in my experience it rarely did.

Good grief, some people are so argumentative...........

What is it that has your daughter pining for Portland/Seattle? Both of those places have an abundance of things to do and see, as do all of the other suggestions. The advantage of staying on the west coast is that travel time is shorter....

Good luck narrowing it down~you've gotten some great suggestions!

The plural of anecdote is not data NewbE. You may have got lucky on every visit, one of those people who seem to take the good weather with them.

But the data is available and quite clear. Only a 50% chance of a day with sun or partly cloudy in June. Your personal anecdotal experience or mine are irrelevant.

I have never even heard of the McLaughlin Group (I just Googled it to see what you were referring to). I am not an American NewbE.
