Jan/Feb Honeymoon Help
I need to find a place for a honeymoon in late Jan and early February that will actually be warm but not Central/South America. I don't think Asia or South Pacific will work either. Is there anywhere to go? I have been looking at Cyprus and Madeira but would love to find a place in the 70s. Is this possible? Thanks for any help!

From where are you travelling, how much time do you have and how much do you want to spend? Why won't the South Pacific work?
Caribbean islands closer to the equator will still be quite warm. We went to Barbados a few years ago in early February and it was plenty warm, although there was a little rain one day.
Morocco would make for an exotic (and warm) holiday destination. We went there for our honeymoon in mid-May. If you want to take it easy (an important part of a honeymoon trip) and ease into travel in a developing country, I would recommend: a) staying in the Club Med (located adjacent to the medina/aka market square) in Marrakech on arrival for 2-3 nights, then taking an easy bus ride in a comfortable coach to Essaouira (a stunning and more relaxed coastal town; check out Madada Mogador), then return to Marrakech for a few nights in a riad in the medina. Add a city stopover in one of London, Madrid or Paris (which have direct flights to Morocco) and you have an exotic, sophisticated and mostly warm trip.
A budget option for warm European travel would include the Canary Islands. Parts of Tenerife are quite hideously overdeveloped, but there is a new lovely Sheraton (La Caleta) that likely will have a good deal. Spend a few days in Tenerife, take the ferry to La Gomera and stay in the Parador there (special hotels run by the Spanish government) and then stop over in Madrid or London on the way home.
I don't think Madeira, Cyprus or other eastern Mediterranean destinations (e.g. Turkey) will be warm enough. What about Egypt? Alternatively, if Egypt makes you a bit nervous (not me, but some are worried about bombs, etc), go to Oman, which is the safest place in the world I've ever visited. It should be borderline hot. When we were there in late March last year, the temperatures were in the high 30s to low 40s celsius. Oman seems to be hot new destination (according to a wide variety of travel magazines). BA flies there.
In Oman, you could splurge on the new Shangri La or stay at the very nice (budget) Best Western. There is also a good value 4* resort (Al Sawadi Beach Resort) up the coast about an hour's drive from Muscat.

What about Cabo San Lucas? It is a year-round destination with beautiful beaches, great restaurants, many romantic resorts, golf, excellent spas. Their usual low temperatures are in the 70's.

I recommend Israel as a perfect place for Honeymoon. It has great beach (Tel-Aviv or Eilat), with sunny weather. You can easily find SPAs for a one hour massage or for couple of full days of relaxation. Full city life: shopping for the days and bars for the nights. And don't miss the trips to Jerusalem and other old cities - the romantic feelings are something both of you will remember forever.
Have fun and good luck.
