Have you considered subscribing to a travel magazine, or two or three? I certainly find them inspiring, and you'll see ideas that you would not have come up with on your own.

If you aren't cruise people, then I'm not sure why you would consider one, particularly since you have LOTS of other options.

Another source of inspiration: go to a library or bookstore and look through guidebooks that feature a large number of high quality photographs, e.g., National Geographic Traveler, Eyewitness, or Insight Guides.

For us to say anything, we'd need to know much more - including something about your interests. Beaches? Museums? You tagged this food & wine, and that helps, but we need to know more.

Happy anniversary!

Hi julesp812! Since you tagged this post with Food & Wine, I assume that it is your main consideration for the trip. Well, there are a lot of good places with great wines and food. You can visit a 3-4 places in 8 days, spending 2 days in each places. You can go to the beach, wineries, etc. It would be better if you give us further details so we can help you.

Why do people ask these questions and then never return for the answers?

Probably mostly because they register and think they'll get an e-mail notice if there is activity on the thread. Or they log off and can't find their way back. IME 20-25% of newbies are never heard from again.
