Here is a link to our blog with some photos and some info on our time in Valaparaiso:
http://blog.travelpod.com/travel-blo...ai/1/tpod.html
entries #66 &67 cover our all too brief time there.
Highlights for us included:
-walking the "graffitti" trail around the town - certainly rates as one of the most photogenic towns in the world!
-the food. There are some truly amazing places to eat all around the town
- the area of Cerro Concepcion is wonderful for the colorful architechture and also has some great places to eat
- a couple of local institutions for food are Cinzano and the Casino Social Club both are definitely worth a visit for the experience and surroundings (food is not bad either!)
We stayed at La Nona B&B where the owner Rene was very helpful with advice, guidance and organising stuff for us like teh horse riding out at Vina del mar

We loved our hotel and it's staff in Valparaiso, Casa Higueres, set up in the hills. Freinds were there last month and they enjoyed it too.
We enjoyed lunch at a quirky little place, El Vinilo, which we walked to from our hotel.

We stayed at Harrington B&B on Cerro Concepcion and loved it. Incredibly helpful owners and great location. If you click on my name u can find our TR of our trip to Chile. Valparaiso would be towards the very beginning. We loved Pablo Neruda's house and also enjoyed the Graffiti walk as well as all the graffiti around the town.
