Two prices from two operators

I just received two quotes for the same group of three boats from an 8 day sail in the Galapagos from two agencies.
Galapagosislands.com is significantly cheaper than Guanguiltgua Expeditions. In addition the galalpagosisland people are throwing in a round trip flight from Quito to
Galapagos for a less expensive total price.

Is Galapagosislands.com a good agency to work with and "legit"?

Thank you, Zin

Hi Zin,

Careful over on TripAdvisor all the "DE" posters there

are DE boat reselllers touts/cronies

with for profit motives...

www.galapagosislands.com

is run by Columbus Ecuador great reputable tour company

go for it...

avoid CNL tours at all costs they are the scammers/resellers

infesting TA...

www.insuremytrip.com always wise these days...

Have fun,

Qwovadis,
Have not run across CNL. I am trying to book a boat for May 1-8 , 2011 and really under the "gun" a both operators say the boats are filling up. Could this be true? Another reliable operators out there?

Qwovadis,
There is a new website going around the forums www.travelgalapagosislands.com that seems to have up to date info on all ships; as qwovadis says galapagosislands.com is also a reputable company.

Good luck!

I booked with galapagosislands.com in the past and was very satisfied. They are a reputable local company based out of Quito and also have a small office in the islands. The cost of the return trip Quito-Galapagos runs you approx. $400 US, so this is a big savings if the flights are included with them. I have not booked with Guaguiltgua before so cannot comment on them, sorry! Good luck.

Great! All booked on Galapagosislands.com. They seem very efficient and I have received an invoice. I think I got a great deal especially with two roundtrip airfares from Quito to Galapagos thrown in.
