Lima Peru Airport Lounge
I have a long layover in Lima (approx. 9 hours) on my way back to the U.S. I am traveling economy but belong to United Red Carpet Club. Is anyone aware whether the VIP Lounge at the Lima Airport has a reciprocity agreement with United for use of the club. United has not been very helpful on this issue.
Thanks for any experience anyone has had.

Continental always flew to Lima. I take it United now has taken over the route?
I think the strict answer to our question is there's no automatic access to the lounge based on your membership in another airline's club. You need to get a pass when you check in for your flight. Whether the counter agent will say you're eligible, I don't know. I would E-mail or call the lounge using the link above to see what the story is.

I take back that last post...We flew first class, so it may have been that we were first class, or it may have been my Platinum status. I can't remember. It's a pretty crowded lounge, but the bartender is excellent and they had decent snacks. Not a huge variety of foods, though.
