Tour company in Peru

I'm looking for a good tour operator in Peru, specifically for Lima and Cuzco. I've already booked critical hotels and flights, but need a hotel and transfers in Lima, train tickets from Cuzco to Machu Picchu, and a tour guide in and around Cuzco. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

Hola Carol;
Nice to hear that you're planning to visit my dear country.
I work down here in Lima-Peru for the Tourist Information Bureau and we have a counter in the Intl. Arrival Gates of the Aiport of Jorge Chavez.
We use to recommend places to stay in Lima and all over Peru. Miraflores is one of the safest areas to stay specially if you were arriving by night time like most fo the intl flights does. These accomodotations provides a 24 hours Pick-Up Service with a capable chauffer in a nice and safe private car.
Don't hesitate to contact me, please. I might get a good rebate in order to fit your nice budget.
My only aims is to be of some help and because I like to have friends from all over the world.
Looking forward to hear back from you very soon
Best Regards

Cesar Dominguez
A Peruvian Youngman Of Honor
Lima-Peru
[email protected], [email protected]

hello lady
this is a peruvian guy from lima peru
well according to what you ask i recomend you to check evrything here in lima after your arrival why cause many people offer you a lot of kind information or any help some times it is not truth so i recomend you when you arrive in lima take a least one day and you can visit by yourself all the operators i mean you have to be sure they have a real office , i live in miraflores the safe and nice area in lima so i can recomend you some places according to your needs onthe other hand dont take any service offered at the airport why cause most of them are not reliable so what you can do is book a place to stay in lima and be picked up by staff of the hotel so they will wait for you at the airport with a sign with your name dont give any credit card number in advance the best way is to take your time then you take the best option for you about flights my sister iris works for aerocontinente airline so if you want me to check for flights i can tell her also she has friends working for lan peru both are the most reliable companies.
well i really want you to feel free and comfortable during your stay in my country so ask all your questions you have i wll be ready to help you
very trully yours
Chris

Hi Carol
Lucky you going to Peru. I was there in May this year and I loved it - not that Lima is the most beautiful city in the world ( oh No ) but because the people are lovely. Miraflores is the better place to stay in Lima though and the safest, I am told. I did not feel there was a problem anywhere but I guess statistics say differently and it is a very large city.
You will find tour Operators coming out of your ears in both Cuzco and Lima. I personally did not have any because we chose to get around ourselves because some of the prices I saw for tour operators made our heads spin. If I were to go to Cuzco again I would not go on any bus tours but would hire a taxi for the day. I found that they didn't stay long at the places I wanted to stay longer in and stayed for ages in ones that I was not particularly interested in - others on the bus felt the same way. Also it was impossible to hear what the guide was saying most of the time. Your hotel in Cuzco should give you the best advise I would think. If nothing else take a taxi ride though the narrow streets of Cuzco - that is an experience in itself!
Have a terrific time but do most of your own if you can because you CAN do that and save heaps.

Carol,

My husband and I just got back from Peru yesterday. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life. We used a tour company in lima (perutourism.com) and they were fantastic. We didn't have to worry about anything. There was always a guide waiting for us wherever we went and we never felt lost or unsafe. They set up all of our transportation and hotels. Condor travel is actually the company they used that included the guided tours and rides to and from the airport. Feel free to e-mail me with any questions you may have. You're going to have a great time!

Anne

Chris-

Why don't you just cool it!?! You are not making a favorable impression on those reading these posts. You are suggesting that some of the posters are not credible and demanding their authenticity, however, there is no proof of that any of us can trust you either. Stop abusing this web site.
