Our top priority for hotel selection is safety of hotel, and surrounding area, cleanliness, excellent bed and strong water pressure in shower, ideally recently renovated.

We only need the room to rest, good night sleep, and shower. Not looking for luxury, but close to places of interest and parks. Thanks.

3. Hotel NH Collection Centro Historico in Buenos Aires
4. Pestana Buenos Aires

Not been there but can't think of plumbing problems or safety problems in touristy parts of Buenos Aires.

I would take a look at hotels in one of the Palermo’s or Recoleta rather than Centro. Alternatively, Puerto Madero is arguably the cleanest, safest part of the city but also the most bland and a bit out of the way.

I felt perfectly safe in BA and slept in Palermo.
