Wow - I've been out of town for a week and have come back to see the amazing replies to my question about favorite restaurants. Thank you so much to all who replied - and don't stop now!

Great recommendations. We have been to BA a number of times. We even hooked up with avrooster on our first trip. He's a terrific guide. The restaurant that keeps us coming back for more is La Cabrera Norte, located at 5127 Palermo Viego. Telephone number is 4832.5754. The meat was exquisite. The wine exceptional. The cost was incredibly inexpensive for what we got. As has been mentioned here several times, to eat like that in the US would cost about $200. Not so in BA. We've been back three times on our various travels, and whenever we go to BA, we always book a reservation. Enjoy.

I believe I know who BetoBob is, but I'm not quite sure, as my memory fails me, due to my advanced age.
However, I'm quite sure of one thing: I'm NOT a guide, at least not a professional one.
Why don't you e-mail me when you are back in town, Bob?
