Beaches & Nightlife in Punta Del Este
Hi--I keep hearing that November in Punta del Este is "Low Season." Now, I realize that new years eve and a bit after is high season, but does "low season" mean the beaches and nightclubs/bars will be dead on the weekends? I sure hope not!! I am interested in experiencing this aspect of Punta as well, and it would be a shame if it's more like a ghost town.
If anyone has some advice or recommendations on clubs/bars (I like house music, etc)--it would be much appreciated. I'm travelling thursday November 26th - sunday November 29th
Thanks!

The thing is that December before Christmas is considered low season but it is possible you will be able to go to the beach, but end of
November is more of a toss up. If you are lucky, and I hope you are, it can turn out to
be great. I do not know if night clubs are open during the week ends in Nov., I know that
the Conrad HOtel which has some kind of night life is open all year.
Again the hotel can answer your questions. Use them.

Yes, it's safe to say that our stay in PDE is not going to be what I was hoping or expecting (perhaps naive on my part). Well, we'll make the best of it I guess at this point right?!
Thanks for the input.
