My wife-to-be and I are coming to Buenos Aires for 15 days late May to early June for our honeymoon. We're hoping to stay for the first week in an apartment in BA then travel to some other places the next week. Please let me know what agencies are reputable for renting an apartment from, and which websites to go to. Thanks!

If you check here and Tripadvisor, you'll see pros and cons listed for several different agencies. We're going to BA next February and want to rent an apartment - I'll be interested in seeing the answers.

Try www.bairesapartments.com. I used their services in October of 2007 and was indeed quite pleased. You can check the various apartments at their sites via the different barrios. Once you have an idea where you'd like to stay, email Martin, the manager, and you can proceed.

When I booked through them, I selected five apartments from the site that were located in Recoleta (the barrio I'd highly suggest you stay) and sent Martin an email in which I asked him which of the five apartments would meet my needs. He honestly acknowledged and recommended the one where I stayed. I was indeed pleased!
