Public Holidays in Czech Republic - what will be closed?
We are driving in southern Germany and the Austrian lakes and also have three nights in the Czech Republic. We will be staying in a small village south of Český Krumlov from Thursday 4th July to Sunday 7th. Plans include visiting Český Krumlov and exploring along the Vitava and the surrounding area. I forgot to check for public holidays when we made our arrangements and have now discovered that both the Friday and the Saturday are public holidays. Can anyone tell me how this is likely to impact our stay? In particular will there be shops and petrol stations open?

Petrol stations don't close because of holidays.
Those two are not big holidays, there is no requirement that shops close on those particular holidays (it is on NY, around Christmas, Easter Monday, May 8th, and a couple others related to statehood/independence). Smaller grocery stores are always exempt from those laws, anyway, as are shops in train stations, petrol stations, etc.
