Hi All,

I am visiting Venice by end of April. I have booked a train ticket and will reach Venezia S. Lucia. Venice. My hotel is near San Marco area. Can anyone advise what kind of transportation i could take to reach San Marco square???

The vaporetto line--either # 1 or 2 will get you there, but 2 has fewer stops. It will cost 6.50E unless you buy a pass for one or 3 days.

Hi maxz and welcome. What bob says, unless your hotel has a private gondola and will fetch you.

If you have extra bucks, a water taxi. Here's a site that describes bus and taxi. bob, if you have time to confirm that the info is correct, that would be great. Hub and I only took the Vap.

Your hotel's website should feature the best directions for how to reach it from the train station, including the particular vaporetto stop you need as well as specific walking directions.
