Zihuatanejo current hotel info
I've checked the forums and nothing really current on hotels in Zihua.
I'd love to stay at La Casa que Canta or The Tides - so beautiful, but horribly expensive plus the high tax! Ouch!
How steep a walk or how inconvenient are Las Brisas and Cinco Sentidos? I'd love to hear an update.
This would be a February 2011 trip for 7 or 10 days.

Actually Madera is the best beach for kids due to lack of drop off. It does have darker sand due to erosion of volcanic rocks at the far end of the beach. The area has several of the best restaurants. also not sure why you would think it is too near El Centro as to me that is an advantage to stroll the lite walkway to it.
For a private residence I highly recommend http://www.casa-amarilla-zihua. Fabulous views in a most lovely home.
